Privacy Policy for Ampere Stats: Battery Health
Effective and last updated: October 14, 2026
Neo Applications develops Ampere Stats: Battery Health (Android package com.neoapps.amperestats). This policy explains how the app handles information. Contact us at nippydeveloper@gmail.com.
Information processed on your device
- Battery observations: timestamps, battery percentage, available current, voltage, temperature and charge-counter readings, charging status and whether the device is plugged in.
- Screen-state observations: whether the screen is interactive at a reading, used for local screen-off battery trends. The app does not record screen contents or attribute drain to individual apps.
- History and estimates: charging and discharging sessions, coverage and gaps, summaries, capacity observations and health estimates.
- Profiles and settings: battery profile names, design capacity you enter, archived profiles, theme, temperature units, retention preferences, onboarding and monitoring choices, and reminder thresholds, selected sound references, vibration, repeat and snooze state.
- Local diagnostics: monitoring interruptions, reminder status, insight preferences and the Android OS build identifier, used to reset local comparisons after a system change.
These records are held in the app’s local Android database to display readings and charts, calculate estimates and comparisons, maintain separate battery profiles, and deliver reminders. Available readings vary by phone. Health estimates concern your device’s battery and are not laboratory certification.
Developer collection and third-party services
The current version does not send these records to Neo Applications and has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics service, billing integration or cloud synchronization. Its main Android manifest does not request Internet access. Android system services provide battery readings, notifications, sound selection and the document picker.
User-directed exports can leave your device as described below. If you email support, we receive the email address and information you choose to send. Do not include battery exports or other sensitive information unless needed for your request.
Optional monitoring and notifications
You can enable continuous monitoring to record battery sessions and check reminder thresholds in the background. It uses a foreground-service notification with a Pause action. You can pause through that notification or switch monitoring mode in the app. Occasional mode records while the app is open. Reopening the app may resume a previously selected continuous mode.
Android notification permission and channel settings control reminders; vibration and sound follow system settings, including Do Not Disturb. The app also receives device-restart and app-update events to record interruptions, rather than silently starting monitoring at boot. OS and manufacturer restrictions, process termination or force-stop can cause gaps or delayed reminders.
Retention of detailed readings and summaries
Detailed sample retention defaults to 30 days; you can choose 7, 14 or 30 days in Settings → Data & privacy. Cleanup runs during collection and when retention settings are saved, so this is not a guarantee that data is removed at an exact time.
Beyond the selected period, older samples are reduced to representative points, preserving recorded extremes and boundaries, including gaps. Session summaries, reduced-resolution trends and battery profiles remain until you delete them. Lowering retention can irreversibly remove full-resolution readings. CSV exports mark retained summary points; these are not the complete original sample stream.
CSV export and destinations you choose
Export is initiated by you through Android’s document picker. CSV files include recorded timestamps, profile and session IDs, battery measurements and units, charging and screen state, gaps, summary markers, measurement source and estimator version. You can export a selected session or filtered history.
The chosen destination may be local storage or a cloud/document provider installed on your device. A provider may upload and process the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Anyone you share the file with may receive its contents. The app’s local retention and deletion controls do not delete exported copies; manage those through the destination provider.
Deletion, profiles and uninstalling
In Settings → Data & privacy, delete a selected profile’s history or choose Delete all history to remove stored samples, sessions and battery profiles. The app creates a fresh active profile when needed. History deletion does not reset all preferences or reminder settings. If monitoring stays enabled, new readings can be recorded; pause monitoring first if you want recording to stop.
Starting a replacement-battery profile archives the previous profile; it does not delete its history. To remove all app-local data and settings, use Android’s app-storage clear-data control or uninstall the app. Exported files remain wherever you saved them.
Backup and data protection
Android system backup is disabled in the app’s manifest for its local data. The app relies on Android’s app-storage protections; this is not a guarantee against every device, operating-system or unauthorized-access risk. Protect your phone and exported files with appropriate device and destination security settings.
Policy changes and contact
We will update this public policy and its date when the app’s data practices change. For privacy questions or concerns, contact Neo Applications at nippydeveloper@gmail.com. Because battery history is stored locally and is not uploaded to us, use the in-app or Android deletion controls to remove it.
