1. INTRODUCTION

MOV to MP4 Converter ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use our mobile application.

2. INFORMATION COLLECTION

MOV to MP4 Converter does not upload, store, or share the videos you select for conversion with our servers. The app is not designed to collect your video contents, file names, file paths, or file URIs.

The app may receive automatically supplied app and device information through Google services, including aggregate app interaction events and sanitized crash or diagnostic information. Google Mobile Ads may also process information needed to serve and measure advertising. These services help us understand reliability, improve the app, and display ads.

3. DATA PROCESSING

Video inspection, queue management, conversion, thumbnails, and temporary output handling are performed on your Android device. Supported videos are converted to MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio when audio is present. Original videos are kept unchanged and are not deleted by the app.

When you choose to save a result, Android may place it in the Movies/MOV_to_MP4 folder or present a system Save As picker, depending on your Android version. Opening or sharing a result sends it to the video player or sharing destination you choose through Android’s system features.

4. PERMISSIONS AND DEVICE ACCESS

• Photo and video picker access: Used when you select MOV videos from your Gallery or Files.
• Notification access: Used on supported Android versions to show progress and cancellation status while a batch runs in the background.
• Foreground processing access: Used to keep an active conversion batch running reliably while Android allows it.
• Internet access: Used by Firebase services and Google Mobile Ads. It is not used to upload videos for conversion.

The app is designed to use Android’s document and media pickers rather than broad legacy storage permissions.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The app uses Firebase Analytics for aggregate usage events and Firebase Crashlytics for sanitized crash and error reporting. It also uses Google Mobile Ads to display advertising. These services may process information according to their own privacy policies. The app’s telemetry records counts, categories, timing, outcomes, and known error codes rather than video contents, names, paths, or URIs.

6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Temporary conversion files and app-owned local data can be removed by resetting the app, clearing its storage, or uninstalling it. Videos already saved to your device’s Gallery or Movies folder remain under your control and can be deleted with your Gallery or file manager. Original videos are not changed or deleted by the app.

7. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

MOV to MP4 Converter is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
