Delete Your Obscura Vault Data

Obscura Vault stores data locally on your device. Because the app is local-only, there is no account to delete from our servers. You can remove your data directly from the app or from your device at any time.

If you uninstall the app without deleting your vaults first, the data stored by the app may remain on the device until it is manually removed through device storage tools or by clearing the app's data.

What Will Be Deleted

Vaults you delete inside the app
Encrypted notes stored in those vaults
Encrypted files imported into those vaults
App preferences and biometric settings stored locally

What Stays on Your Device

Nothing is intended to be synced to our servers
If you keep the app installed, any vaults you do not delete will remain on the device

How to Delete Your Data

Option 1: Delete Inside the App

Open Obscura Vault and delete the vaults, notes, and files you no longer want to keep. This is the preferred method because it removes the encrypted content from the app itself.

Option 2: Remove the App Data

If you want to remove everything stored by the app, clear the app's data from your device settings or uninstall the app after deleting the vaults you want removed.

Deletion Timeline

Because Obscura Vault does not keep server-side data, deletion is immediate once you remove vaults from the app or clear the app data on your device.
